Birds of a Feather: Wings and Words

I would love your feedback as a reader

This week the first Jay arrived. It was exciting.

I got a bird feeder with a live video feed that’s powered by solar a few weeks ago and over the weekend I finally set it up. It took five days, a dead racoon fiasco, and some patience before we finally got our fowl wish.

This morning there were cardinals. (Look at this portly, startling fellow).

What is it about the simple delights of nature that can bring such joy? I made the fun video you can view at the top of this post for Instagram and it’s been fun to share it and laugh with others about being bird-feeder-years-old.

Birds and feeds.

Words and feeds.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about Things I Wrote Down and the future direction of this newsletter and online space.

Full disclosure: I love it. The outlet that it is for creativity. The joy it is to have readers like you to interact with. The gift it is to have such an incredible platform powered by the best tech (thanks Substack!) to be able to bring all sorts of content into the world.

However, I’m rethinking how I show up here. So, can I ask for your help?
