Christmas content for your church
Advent readings and short plays that will bring your services to life
Yep, I write Christmas content.
The story of the incarnation is a mystery that will never grow old. I love to find fresh ways to bring the Christmas story to life!
Thousands of people across North America experience my work every Christmas and have been touched by these stories, a fun fact that sometimes causes me to just pull over on the side of the road. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to bring a bit of wonder, laughter and joy to congregations at Christmas!
If you’re looking for new ways to bring the Christmas story to life in your church and community, consider some of these scripts. These readings and skits are designed to fit perfectly between the worship set and the sermon and are easy to produce.
Here’s a list of some of my new and best-selling scripts.
There’s too many to share in one post. But you can view all the scripts here.

Songs of Advent 5-week advent series
*NEW* for 2024
The music we sing at Christmas helps us to remember the story of Jesus and fills our hearts with hope, peace, love and joy. This series of readings–one for each week of the four Sundays of Advent, as well as a fifth reading for Christmas Day–looks at the inspiring stories behind some of our most beloved songs, including O Holy Night, Joy to the World, and Silent Night.
In the lead up to Advent, I’ll be sharing an adapted version of these scripts on my Substack each week. You can also enjoy a version of these scripts as a free devotion on YouVersion.
The Even Angels series
*NEW* for 2024
I love movies that feature the Secret Service, those brave agents that follow the most important leaders and quietly protect them. The Even Angels series is sort of like that. The series features Rapha and Tromos, two angels, who give a behind the scenes look at some of the most consequential moments in history.
The Christmas scripts in this series include:
Operation Forerunner. Gabriel has just left the temple. Zechariah is suddenly mute. Now Rapha and Tromos prepare for an on-Earth mission to ensure the miracle child John, who will prepare the way for the Messiah, will be safe.
Operation Annunciation. The duo is about to be sent as the protection unit for a young girl in Nazareth who’s about to have an encounter with Gabriel, a moment that will change the world forever. They’re shocked to learn that Jesus is about to become a human baby and that they’ll be part of the greatest undercover angelic operation in history.
Operation Hark and Herald. Rapha and Tromos are about to lead the heavenly host into the hill country of Bethlehem to tell the shepherds the Messiah is born. The assignment calls for harps, not swords. As they prepare to entrust the gospel to mere humans, they realize a whole new era is about to shake heaven and earth.
Operation Gold, Frank and Myrrh. The duo are assigned to watch over three men from the East as they travel dangerous roads to Bethlehem. They're about to witness the fulfillment of a prophecy that goes all the way back to Daniel and the Magi from ancient Babylon.

Joyful Christmas Sing-along
Greg’s annual tradition of Christmas carolling in the neighbourhood is disrupted by his unexpected hospitalization. That’s when his daughter Amy surprises him by bringing the neighbourhood to him to sing carols outside his hospital room window to keep the tradition alive. A joyful reminder of the importance of declaring the message of Christmas to others, this play involves the whole congregation in a fun and spontaneous Christmas sing-along.
A Very Matthew Christmas
Through letters addressed to the modern-day church from the Gospel writer Matthew, this script series will bring fresh perspective just in time for Christmas, and prepare your church for Advent.
